TBI Raiders as an Student Organization

 TBI Raiders is an organization that is for students living with and without disabilities.  The mission statement for the organization is to help to help students and will stay that.  But the truly unique thing that sets TBI apart from other disabilities is that you cannot be born with a TBI nor are two TBI's identical.  Once someone sustains a TBI, that individual will acquire additional disabilities in the long run if not immediately.  TBI is in a class of its own and more needs to be done to help those living with the disability and to help bring more awareness on it as well.

Oklahoma is in the top ten leading states with the most cases every year.  To make the organization stronger I would like to see student organizations created on college campuses.  This would also help prepare the student for the workforce as well and hopefully in the end see that survivors feel more at ease talking saying they have a TBI and start to end the stigmas attached with the disability.  It would also make it easier to build up the national conference for Raid Oklahoma.
